Since social media came onto the scene, businesses have been trying to figure out the best way to utilize it to increase brand awareness and sales. The roller coaster of trying to keep up with the constant changes and updates since then has not only been exhausting, but it has also left a lot of businesses owners feeling frustrated and inclined to give up altogether.
That’s where Anna comes in. Her passion is helping business owners really utilize social media in a smart, efficient and tolerable way to grow their business. Her goal is to show entrepreneurs how they can use social media as a tool that actually helps them drive sales instead of just giving them a headache.
One of the things that Anna mentioned I loved was that when you help educate and empower women, you’re not only helping one person. You’re also helping empower her family and her community. You’re helping her achieve financial freedom and that ignites a chain reaction so that she can help someone else as well.
Decide Your Objectives
Lie with any marketing campaign, you need to know what you want to get out of it and what you want the people seeing your ad to do. With Facebook ads, you can choose different objectives for your ad. This will help craft your strategy as well as help you choose what type of ad you want to run. For example, do you want people to visit your website? Inquire about your services? Purchase a product? Join your email list? All of these are possible objectives and it’s important to know which one you want to focus on for each ad.
Test your messaging
Facebook advertising can be a great way to promote your business or services, but there’s nothing more frustrating than spending hundreds of dollar son an ad that doesn’t convert. Anna suggests that you really need to test and nail down your messaging and copy before you even think about running an ad. SO what does that mean? Even as a new business, you can conduct market research to figure out what language and wording connect with your ideal customers best. Your goals are to use the language and messaging that will connect with them and to, of course, solve a problem. Try posting your proposed copy for free on your profile and see what kind of reaction you get. Test out different calls to actions and photos. From there, you can make adjustments to make sure that the copy you use in your ad will compel people to act.
Stop worrying about the numbers, start focusing on engagement
Worrying about how many followers you have or how many you have lost is one of the main contributors to people getting fed up and burnt out on social media. Sure, it would be nice to have thousands of followers but constantly obsessing about it will drive you crazy. Anna shared that the number of followers your account has is starting to matter less and less. What really matters is how engaged the followers you do have are. It does you no good if you have thousands of followers if you don’t connect with them and build some sort of relationship. You will be much better off cultivating a loyal, active following that might be small but engages with your content on a regular basis.
