In this episode, I sit down with Jayne Sanders, the founder of The Purpose Whisperer. We discuss topics such as the unique challenges that come with pivoting in your career path, how Scientific Hand Analysis can help you increase your self-awareness, and how to step into your purpose so you can love your life and your work.
Katie (00:01):
Hi everyone. Thank you for tuning into the Hustlenomics Podcast. I’m your host, Katie. And today I am so excited to be talking with Jayne Sanders. She has a purpose and the law of attraction coach for leaders, executives, professionals, and entrepreneurs, as well as a motivational business speaker. So, Jayne, thank you so much for coming on the show.
Jayne (00:19):
Well thank you for having me, Katie. I’m looking forward to our discussion.
Katie (00:22):
Absolutely. So I gave a little intro for you there, but I would love if you would introduce yourself a little bit further, tell us a little bit more about your background and how you got to where you were.
Jayne (00:33):
I’d be happy to because that comes up a lot. When people find out what I do now I’m corporate background, so I have an MBA and I’ve had three other careers before I started this, but was never really happy with it. You know, I would just reach a point where I got bored, felt off track, like something was missing. So I just knew that I was not exactly on purpose. And I started searching for that. I literally started Googling, how do I find my life purpose? And after a few months ran across a headline for a teleseminar and it said, discover your innate life purpose. I was like, Oh my gosh, this is just too good to be true. So I clicked on it. And the first words I saw were hand analysis and I was like, Oh man, I’m serious here. I really want my purpose.
Jayne (01:23):
And then I read one more word and that word was scientific. So it was scientific hand analysis. And that kind of gave me permission to listen to the teleseminar and it was pretty credible made sense. I really wanted my purpose. So I got a scientific hand analysis. It blew my mind and short story changed my life and I was so inspired and on fire. So I decided that’s how I wanted to help people feel. So I’m a master scientific hand analyst, highest certification possible. I teach it. Now it’s been written about in Forbes because of its accuracy. And then I do coaching to help people get in alignment with their innate life purpose, which by the way, is identified by a scientific hand analysis, kind of freaky and the gifts they have to help them fulfill their purpose and blind spots to take action on. So I use my purpose and law of attraction and spiritual life coaching to help people love their lives and love their work.
Katie (02:32):
What an amazing mission that is so awesome. And I cannot wait to jump into that journey that you took, you know, moving over from corporate to owning your own business. But before we do can you kind of give an explanation of what scientific hand analysis is? This is the first time I’m hearing about it and I’m sure some of my listeners are curious to what that means.
Jayne (02:50):
You’re right. Most people haven’t heard of it. The lines in your hands actually mimic the neural pathways in your brain. It’s accurate so much so that Forbes wrote about it. And the gentleman that created this system, this database spent 40 years and analyzed over 30,000 hands. So that’s more subjects than any FDA approved, approved drug out there. So the database is off the charts reliable, and we look at everything in the hands. The fingerprints contain a lot of information that all the different lines, the shape of your hand, how the fingers are set on the Palm and it identifies your innate life purpose, how you’re meant to make a difference in the world. Now it’s not a job description that would be cuckoo, but it’s the most comprehensive, yet specific description of the concept behind your ideal work that is available anywhere. And believe me, I tried everything and everybody has options. There’s no just one job for anybody, but it also identifies the gifts. You have to help you fulfill that purpose and what trips you up in all aspects of life. So it’s actionable as well. And there are many more handout lists than people realize a lot of therapists and coaches and counselors use it, but they keep it under the radar because they don’t want people to think they’re weird. And I’m like, man, you can think I’m weird all day long. Cause this stuff is so great. I am shouting it from the rooftops.
Katie (04:28):
Yeah, that’s amazing. You mentioned the scientific background and I definitely want to circle back to that, but going back to, when you decided to leave the corporate job, it sounds, and on your website, obviously you’ve had a lot of different jobs, tons of experience in different fields. It seems like. So what was that initial kind of turning point where you just kind of just got to too much, you said this is too much, I’m unhappy. I want to make a change. What was your next step?
Jayne (04:52):
I want to clarify. I’ve had two businesses. This is my second entrepreneurial. What was your first? I was a professional speaker to the corporate market. That was a 20 year business. But you know, I hit that boredom spot about, I don’t know, 14 or 15 years in. And that’s when I really started trying to figure out what else I wanted to do. The first two careers were in sales and marketing, you know, one with a big corporation and the second with a smaller company calling on corporations. So I’ve been in the corporate world for decades and I just, you know, I’m not fit for the corporate world, you know, as a resource. Yes. But not as an employee, I’m just not fit to be an employee. You know, I need to do my own thing. I really wanted more of an impact. I wanted more freedom and I was getting bored with my speaking business.
Jayne (05:42):
I realized after I got my hand analysis, because it wasn’t helping people as deeply as I’m meant to do. And that’s why it lost its appeal to me. And I just didn’t want to do what it took to really keep the business going. And I didn’t want to create new talks and I was just kind of putting along with it and then got one was wake up calls, you know, those a cosmic two before is where both of my parents passed away within three months of each other. And that’s what really motivated me to figure it out and find my purpose. And I was like, man, life is short. I have got to figure this out.
Katie (06:18):
Wow. Yeah. I can only imagine. Yeah. So you did transition from another business. So I’d love to talk about that because transitioning, whether you’re a very seasoned entrepreneur or you’re just starting out, whatever it is, it’s, there’s always difficulties and challenges. So moving away from the speaking business into this hand analysis and coaching business, what was different about it? And what were some things that may be surprised
Jayne (06:41):
Probably how long it took me to get to the freedom that I wanted and being able to find the right coaches for me, my two surprises, I suppose, and it takes a while to get it going. Although this business went at a much steeper trajectory, much faster than my speaking business did my first year in speaking, I grossed $7,000. That was it, but it grew to six figures. And this business, I may just under six figures my first year and I’ve been in six figures for three years. So it’s not easy to do with coaching.
Katie (07:12):
Well, that’s an incredible accomplishment. I’d love to go back to the hand analysis. And you mentioned that the scientific background and getting certified. So what was that certification?
Jayne (07:21):
So I’m level four. So the first level one certification is just the fingerprint system. And I shouldn’t say just because we get extraordinary, extraordinarily important information from fingerprints, but that you can do that in a full, a full four day workshop and then a lot of practice. So that was level one, level two was a year and that’s learning everything else in the hands. And then level three is advanced. So that’s just going deeper and deeper and deeper. And that was six months. And then level four is teacher training. And that was another six months to a year. I don’t know, I’ve had it for several years now. So I can’t, I can’t remember all the details. And then the master hand analyst is just the sheer number of hand analysis that I have conducted for my clients.
Katie (08:09):
Wow. So it was a very comprehensive experience, really interesting. And is this something that you can do online or did you actually go to, you know, physical classes and things like that?
Jayne (08:19):
I went to physical classes for level one and level two, a lot of, well, there’s not that many teachers, but when I taught level one, I did it online with live webinars. So the teachers that are out there, many of them are moving to online options.
Katie (08:36):
Interesting. Yeah. I’ve noticed that as well when it comes to certifications and things like that, it’s all kind of moving online, which is great because it makes it so much more accessible, but it’s definitely a different way of learning. So that’s very interesting.
Jayne (08:46):
It is. And I want to say that the level two, at least the way I did it, it involved, you know, when you dive that deep into your hands, you are going through whether you’re ready or not. And the in person sort of masterminds were extraordinarily supportive and helpful. So when I do, when I teach level two, I’d rather do it live, but we’ll see, we’ll see how it goes.
Katie (09:09):
Okay. Very interesting. Very interesting. And so this all kind of started with you getting an analysis for yourself? Correct. Okay. What was the most surprising thing that you learned from that analysis?
Jayne (09:21):
Only twofold. The number of gift markings that I have, their gift markings are indications of extra potential talent. And they’re really important to know about because they kick in the butt if you’re not using them, but it sure explained a lot of my life, you know, why some things worked and why, some things didn’t and why, you know, some of the challenges that I in the patterns that I kept running into and why things appealed to me and other things didn’t and why I was better at some things and not at others. So number one, the number of gift markings and number two, just how incredibly accurate it was. And there were a couple of things that I had that I hadn’t really thought about before, but everything else was so accurate. I just trusted it. And within a few days it would be like, Oh, okay, now I get it. Now I see what they were talking about. It just made so much sense. It answered questions. I didn’t even know I had,
Katie (10:16):
Oh, that’s so fascinating. So it provides a sense of self awareness that you, where you can start using those tools to your advantage. That’s very interesting. And you work with clients in a couple of different ways, correct? You do the hand analysis and coaching, or do they all kind of intertwine?
Jayne (10:30):
They intertwine all my coaching starts with a hand analysis. It’s the foundation, it’s my assessment tool. It gives me so much information that I can hit the ground running coaching without needing to spend several sessions, getting to know people. And I still need to do that to some degree, but everything shows up in the hands. I mean it’s, and it tells me people’s biggest tripping point and every time they get stuck, I can go back and look and see what that is and that you can, it makes total sense. Right? A great foundation. It sounds like, yes, absolutely
Katie (11:06):
Slate. Who or what’s your kind of client demographic
Jayne (11:09):
Twofold. So individuals, so usually entrepreneurs who are stuck, not happy with what they’re doing, but they don’t know what else to do. Can be, you know, professionals as well. Lots of people in companies and corporations who are not happy in their work more than half of the planet, basically. So I do individuals hand analysis and coaching. And this year I’m launching and have started going into companies and corporations because this system is so complex and there’s a numerical aspect involved. So I can do a hand analysis for members of Oklahoma team, put a matrix together and flush out the overall purpose for the team and the primary blind spots and tripping points. And it’s amazingly helpful information for leaders to help them assign projects more effectively, identify career paths, put people in the right positions. And that goes directly to the bottom line with higher engagement and productivity and retention.
Katie (12:10):
Absolutely. That’s so interesting. And you mentioned you do work with entrepreneurs. And so most of my listeners are, you know, young female entrepreneurs from 22 to 35, even 40 sometimes. And a lot of them are in their very beginning stages of their journey to becoming a business owner, whether that means they’re in their first couple of years, or just trying to build up their side hustle, to leave the corporate world and create a new life for themselves. I’m not sure if you’d be able to answer this question because everything is so individualistic, but is there something that you notice over and over again that comes up with entrepreneurs, specifically female entrepreneurs, that’s holding them back. That seems to be coming up over and over and over again,
Jayne (12:46):
Or some common things. And this is kind of general. So, and it’s often hard to recognize in ourselves, but it’s really owning our gifts and our own power. You know, all that self-worth, self-love, knowing what your gifts are and using them. I mean, I’ve had clients that just with the hand analysis went from really struggling to being successful just by stepping into their gifts and owning it and saying, you know what? I kind of wondered about that, but now I feel like I have permission to really say, yeah, this is me and go for it. So if I have to pick one thing, it’s the self-love, self-worth feeling, their power and secondary would be fear of rejection. They’re just holding back from putting themselves out there because they fear rejection. And it’s not often, it’s often not conscious,
Katie (13:35):
Right. I’m sitting here nodding my head cause I definitely fall into those two categories when I first started. And I still struggle with things like that today. And you know, I hear something so similar to that when talking to all these female entrepreneurs. So that’s definitely something to be aware of. And when you got your analysis and became aware of these things that you maybe weren’t conscious of before, that’s obviously the first step, but implement, implementing these things on a daily basis, especially when we have life and relationships and running a business, it’s a lot, right? So do you have any techniques or tools that you use to really stay grounded in those gifts that you are made aware of and to make sure you’re utilizing them to their full potential each and every day?
Jayne (14:13):
So lots actually Katie. So one is I do hand analysis. You get a summary report and the recording, but I refer to my summary report on a regular basis to remind me, cause there’s so much stuff in the hands and you need to, I shouldn’t call it stuff, but you need to focus on the ones that are causing the most challenges. So by keeping them in mind, it keeps it in your awareness so that you can take action on it. Number two, I meditate every day and that really helps keep me grounded. And let me tell you, if you’d have told me five years ago that I was going to meditate every day, I would have laughed in your face, but it is so empowering. A lot of attraction coach law of attraction is mind-blowingly powerful, you know, everything’s energy. And we do attract what we put out like attracts like, and you can have that in your head, but unless you put in even little short rituals every day, you can’t really make any impact with it. So, and some of the rituals can be very short. And I do that during my little meditation period, as well as not while I’m meditating, but during my, I guess I should say my prayer time or whatever you want to call that. But law of attraction is so powerful and it’s so easy to put some things into place.
Katie (15:29):
Wonderful. And I would love to dive into more about the law of attraction stuff because it’s in the business world kind of become almost like a buzz word that you just hear over and over and over again. And obviously, you know, it’s becoming a little bit more mainstream than I think it used to be. So how do you use the law of attraction and your own business and how do you encourage your clients?
Jayne (15:49):
So you use law of attraction and it impacts everything. So the idea is to raise your emotional vibration, everything is energy. The chair you’re sitting on the computer, you’re typing on your thoughts, your feelings. And the idea is to just figure out how to feel a little more joy every day. And when you notice yourself bummed out or anxious or worried, move up that scale just a little bit as best as you can by putting little tricks into place. So it could be watching a funny video, looking at a fun picture of your kids, of your dog, listening to music that lifts you up, dancing around the room. There’s a little video on YouTube that I always send people to called the secret to you and some of your listeners I’m sure. Well, maybe not if they’re that young, so this, it was all about, it was kind of like law of attraction for dummies, but it made it sound like if you just visualize diamonds, you’re going to get diamonds, which is not the case, but the secret to you video is two and a half minutes long.
Jayne (16:59):
It’s on YouTube. It was posted by Marcy, from Maui. I highly recommend you guys write this down. The secret to you. I watch it every morning and I’m telling you, I’m like, Pavlov’s dog. Now that music starts, I get happy. And it just lifts my emotional vibe just a little bit. You don’t want to try to go from despair to ecstasy, right? You want to go from worry to hope, you know, or encouragement. And this does it. I mean the music, the, the videos, the pictures, the affirmations, and just feel it it’s important to feel how those people in the video field. So you want to really focus on feelings and a second thing that I want to suggest a gratitude practice. So powerful at the beginning, or end of the day, just write down a few things that you feel grateful for and feel it. And the more gratitude you bring into your life, the more things the universe will send you to feel grateful for. So you can focus on your business if you’re doing that, but you just do these law of attraction rituals, and it helps everything in your life.
Katie (18:10):
Absolutely. I couldn’t agree more. I love the gratitude exercise. I started doing that myself and just have seen such an amazing increase in my positivity and perspective and all that stuff. So I highly recommend that exercise for anyone. And it’s easy to do, and it just takes five minutes a day.
Jayne (18:27):
Yeah. Or even less, you know, and then when I go to bed at night, as soon as my head hits the pillow, I just go through my day and feel it, you know, feel gratitude for the good things in my day and such a good way to go to sleep.
Katie (18:40):
I couldn’t agree more. And you also have a book available. I would love to hear a little bit more about your book.
Jayne (18:46):
So my book is called twists turns and truths, the life and lines of a master scientific hand analyst. So it’s quite vulnerable in that book. I tell some of the more emotive up and down stories of my life and how my characteristics involved in those stories. Good and bad show up in my hands. So it’s, it’s not a primer on hand analysis at all. It’s more of an introduction about how it works. And to also look at my images that I put in there and say, Oh, I have that too. What does Jane say? That, that means, and then you can read and learn a little bit about yourself and enjoy the stories as well.
Katie (19:26):
Yeah. And that’s available on your website. And if someone is interested in maybe working with you further, or just learning more about what you do and the scientific hand analysis, what’s the best place for them to start?
Jayne (19:37):
Probably my website, which is purpose, wisdom.com is going to be changing soon, probably by the end of this month. So purpose whisper.com, but purpose, wisdom.com will get you there. And you know, there’s a lot of information there. You can contact me through the website and my book by the way is also on Amazon. So, and I think actually the link on my website takes you to Amazon. Okay,
Katie (19:58):
Fantastic. And I’ll link to all of those in the show notes. So everybody can just click through and, and, you know, search some more on your website. And is there anything out there that you would recommend, whether it be a course, a podcast, a book, anything that’s been helpful for you in running a business, as well as personal development that you would recommend?
Jayne (20:16):
You know, and I read so many business books when I was in the corporate world. I just got fed up with them. Although I just read one last weekend called atomic habits. They’re saying that goals are nice, but it’s the systems that you put into place to achieve the goals that really matter. And that requires changing habits. And rather than trying to, you know, put a goal down as lose weight, you want to break it down into little tiny increments and attach new habits to you’ve already got in place so that it’s easier to accomplish your hope. That makes sense. But a couple of other books that I’ve really loved, one is super attractor. So it’s like the law of attraction on steroids by Gabriel Bernstein. Of course, you are a badass series by Jen Sincero. And another one I just read recently called reality unveiled, which does touch quite a bit on the law of attraction and a lot of the science behind it about how everything is energy. And it proves that, and it’s, it’s wild, man. I love that book.
Katie (21:21):
Awesome. And I’ll absolutely link to all of those in the show notes as well. And, and you mentioned your website where people can find you, but do you have places where they can connect with you on social media or other places?
Jayne (21:31):
Sure. I’m on Facebook, both personal under my name, Jane Sanders in Denver and business page right now it’s called purpose wisdom. So I’m in this transition from purpose wisdom to purpose whisper and Facebook and LinkedIn, also purpose wisdom. So both places.
Katie (21:49):
Perfect. And also you mentioned you might have a special offer for some of the them.
Jayne (21:53):
Yes. I would love to give a special offer to your listeners, especially young women, entrepreneurs void is a, do I support them in my heart because I’ve been there. So yes, if somebody, you know, prices for hand analysis go all the way up to $1,500, because it’s your purpose for the rest of your life and your North star, you know, your blueprint to how to live your best life and extraordinarily accurate. My retail price is four 97, but for your listeners, Katie, I would offer three 97 and they will have to reach out to me, you know, to get that cause it’s not possible to get it through my website. So they’d have to talk with Jane, you know, through my website. And then I’ll, if they just tell me they heard me on hustle, hustle, and Nomics, they got it. It’s a hand print kid. Cause I use hand prints and I do the points on zoom video. So I’ve clients all over the world and that’s recorded. They get a summary report that recording and that’s an hour. And then also a second up to one hour call to answer any questions to go into any more depth to help implement next steps. It’s a lot of information, very comprehensive. So when people use that second hour to get more, to digest the information wonderful,
Katie (23:09):
That is such an amazing resource. Thank you so much for offering that. And guys, I’ll link to all of this in the show notes. All you have to do is click through the links and get in touch with Jane and, and really take advantage of that amazing, amazing resource. And Jane, thank you so much for coming on the show today and sharing your story and all that valuable information. I really
Jayne (23:27):
Oh, I appreciate your invitation and I hope your listeners really enjoyed it. I just love sharing this work. Yeah. So thank you again.
