If you have the entrepreneurial spirit, I’m sure you’ve felt that restless feeling when working your 9 to 5, knowing that you are absolutely destined for more than just clocking in and clocking out. Trust me you’re not alone.
Anyone who has dreamed of starting their own business has yearned for more freedom, more autonomy and most likely wished themselves anywhere that their terror of a boss wasn’t.
Hannah knew after her second child that she was ready for more. More freedom, more creativity and more flexibility for her and her family.
She Hustles Inc.’s mission statement is to stand together as a community of like-minded women and mothers, who do in fact want it all! For those of you listening who believe we can be there for our children and families, and also hustle hard in our own businesses, this is the episode for you!
Going From Job To Job Doesn’t Always Mean You’re A Bad Employee:
Here’s the thing…if you have found yourself job hopping, getting restless after 6 or even 1 month, then you might be feeling a little down on yourself. You might be telling yourself that you’re not living a stable life, that you’re a bad employee or that you simply don’t have “what it takes” to make it. If you have those feelings and just want to lay around on the couch instead of working then yea…those thoughts might be true. However, if you’re feeling this way but still have a passion, a drive and a spark to do something and make something great…then I wouldn’t call you a bad employee…I’d call you an entrepreneur.
Take a step back from the “expected” version of your life. Try to think outside of what you’re “supposed” to do and imagine creating a life that doesn’t follow the norm. Can you imagine it? If so, then I can bet that you aren’t cut out for the 9 to 5 office job. You’re probably more suited to the exciting, thrilling, terrifying world of entrepreneurship. Welcome to the table.
Schedule, Schedule, Schedule!:
So, social media can be overwhelming, we all get that. however, it doesn’t have to be. There are TONS of social media apps out there that will allow you to schedule out your feed. This not only takes away the daily stress of “oh my God I forgot to post!” but it also allows you to strategically think about what you’re posting! Hannah found that a good balance is to schedule out one post and then leave a space open to also be spontaneous. It’s a way for you to be organized but still in the present and who would say no to that?!
Some of my favorite scheduling apps are Tailwind, Later and even Facebook itself! (You can schedule out Facebook posts weeks in advance under the “scheduled posts” tab.)
This episode was a great reminder that women who decide to have a family can still have a successful business and a thriving family. We can choose to work from home or from an office, but we have more freedom and more power to choose than ever before.
